Exclusive Interview with Dina Renee

We want to get to know more about you Dina! What was your first performance?

My first performance was my senior year of high school. I sang “Everytime” by Britney Spears in the talent show. I was picked on a lot in school because I had a fake tooth I had to wear on a retainer causing me to have a lisp which made me so shy. It was so scary because I had never sung my real voice in front of anyone before and it was an auditorium of over 1000 people. It was probably one of the best nights of my life to finally do what I had dreamt of my whole life.

Did anyone get you into music?

My sister could sing like Mariah Carey when I was little, my dad could play guitar and piano, my brother guitar, my grandpa was a preacher who also sang in the choir. Everyone in my family was so good at music it always made me feel like I couldn’t measure up so I kind of kept my dreams a secret for a very long time. I always knew I wanted to be a singer since I was 3 though and that one day I’d have to leave my hometown.

Were there ever days where you wanted to make something else your career?

I still love to do photography and act. I’d also love to have my own brand of clothes. When I was little everyone thought I’d be a realtor because I loved to go to open houses and convince my family to move into a bigger house to my liking lol

What is a good amount of downtime for you to reboot?

I just need like 4 hours of no talking and being alone.

Favorite song you could never get sick of!

“Baby one more time”

What song of yours could you never tire of listening to?

Maybe “only human”
