Fatoumata Diawara has recruited Damon Albarn on a new song titled “Nsera.” It’s the first single from the Malian singer songwriter’s  as yet unannounced follow-up to 2018’s Fenfo (Something to Say). Check out “Nsera” with a video directed by Gregory Ohrel below.

Diawara and Albarn have previously worked together on another single, “Désolé,” which arrived as part of Gorillaz’s Song Machine project in 2020. She’s also worked with Disclosure on their tracks “Ultimatum” and “Douha (Mali Mali).” Earlier this year, Diawara released the EP Maliba, which was inspired by the historic Timbuktu Manuscripts.
