It’s still pretty shitty out here on the east coast, but the time to sweat it out in the pit of a huge metal festival is fast approaching. While the rest of the world is already on their summer festival shit, North America’s also gearing up for the warmer months and louder days. Case and point is Loud As Hell, a huge Canadian festival set to tear shit up in Drumheller, Alberta.
From August 3 to August 6, roughly 40 acts from Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. will descend upon the Dinosaur Downs Stampede Grounds for the three-day open-air event. In recent years, non-Canadian bands were unable to participate due to COVID restrictions, but with those lifted, things are returning back to normal.
Featuring bands like Narcotic Wasteland, the band founded by ex-Nile guitarist Dallas Toler-Wade, will be in the area thanks to their first-ever Canadian tour. Meanwhile, Jungle Rot is set to close out the festival on August 6 in support of their latest release, A Call To Arms.
From Incide to Necronomicon and Arrival of Autumn, there are so many bands on the bill to get excited about. And if you’re feeling up to it, organizers are offering full weekend passes for $150, along with camping plans so you can keep the party going without having to endure traffic or pay for expensive hotels.
