Janelle Monae puckers up and gets nasty on her island-tinged single, “Lipstick Lover”.
Along with the release, the highly-provocative clip, directed by herself and Alan Ferguson, finds Janelle getting naughty at an outdoor pool gathering full of women.
“I like lipstick on my neck / Leave a sticky hickey in a place I won’t forget,” a scantily-clad Monae sings while she lays her head on a nude woman and licks the heels of another. “I like lipstick on my neck / Baby, I’m obsessed, get me undressed,” she adds as she takes a dip in the pool before going topless.
“Lipstick Lover” arrives following her previous “Float” single featuring Seun Kuti and Egypt 80 and are both off her next album, The Age Of Pleasure, which is now penciled in for June 9 release.
