EP: Russ ‘Chomp 2.5’

The saga continues.

Russ reups the second installment of his Chomp series with his Chomp 2.5.

On this time around, the Atlanta-based artist picks up the mic and unleashes a batch of six rhyme-heavy and solo tracks. Russ handles the production on the “Wicked” opening track before segueing into the Statik Selektah-produced “Blow The Whistle”.

Havoc and SC both are onboard for Russ’ “Buckle Up Freestyle”, The Alchemist lends his services on “Easy” while 9th Wonder helps close out the EP with “Perfectionist”. Boi-1da, Jahaan Sweet, Clay Harlow, and Don Mills are the team behind Russ’ “Reflection”.

In 2021, Russ released his Chomp 2 album which featured collaborations from a slew of lyrical heavy weights including Big Sean, Jadakiss, Ghostface Killah, Jay Electronica, Wale, Joey Badass, Big K.R.I.T., Snoop Dogg, Westside Gunn, Styles P, Lloyd Banks, CyHi The Prince, Papoose, Mozzy, The-Game, Ransom, and more. On the production side, DJ Premier, The Alchemist, Hit-Boy, Bink!, 9th Wonder, and Harry Fraud were among the few.

Chomp 2.5, is Russ’ first full body of work since last year’s If Not Now, When? EP. The multi-talented artist has most recently released a series of loosies including “Fire“, “Nasty“, “Gimme Love“, “Can’t Get This Right“, and “Put You On Game“.
