In 2023, rumors surfaced that Matt Cameron of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden was rehearsing to tour with Foo Fighters after The Sun published a story about it. Cameron and Hawkins had a longstanding friendship, but the drummer quickly denied the rumors on social media.
It’s been two years since then, though, and Pearl Jam only have one other show booked for 2025 as of now. It wouldn’t be the first time Cameron juggled playing with Pearl Jam and another band simultaneously.
