Warner Bros & Locksmith Animation’s ‘The Lunar Chronicles’ Lands Fall 2028 Release

In the latest round of Annecy news, Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Locksmith Animation are bringing the feature take of Marissa Meyer’s No. 1 bestselling book series, The Lunar Chronicles, to theaters on Nov. 3, 2028.

Noëlle Raffaele is directing(story artist onThe Lego Ninjago Movie,The Marvels,Ray Gunn;director ofDC Super Hero Girls) this adaptation of the author’s toms which blends sci-fi with fairytales.

Christina Steinberg(Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,Trollhunters,Rise of the Guardians) produces off a screenplay byLindsey Ferrentino(The Fear of 13,Queen of Versailles,The Artist) and writing partnersKalen Egan & Travis Sentell(Electric Dreams,The Man in the High Castle).

Visionary artist and designerEs Devlin(CBE, London Design Medal recipient) leads the film’s visual world alongsidePatrick Hanenberger(Rise of the Guardians) as production designers. Costume design is by acclaimed fashion designersLaura and Kate Mulleavy, founders of the labelRodarte. Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) is also behind the scenes on this Warner Bros Pictures Animation project.

The Lunar Chroniclesis the second film collaboration from Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Locksmith Animation.
