LNX-T.N.T. OVAPROOF Lights Up The Path Of Solitude With Music Video For New Rap/Trap Track, ‘Follow’

LNX T.N.T. OVAPROOF was born and raised in Jamaica as Norman O’Sullivan, and began making and producing music when he was just 17, and continuing to craft his sounds while serving for 23 years in the Jamaican military.

Moving to East Orange, New Jersey, in 2015, he might have left the island life behind, but he certainly didn’t abandon his music, seamlessly blending the rhythms of dancehall, reggae, trap, and other sounds, taking his inspiration from reggae legends such as Jimmy Cliff and Desmond Dekker, as just two examples.

New single, ‘Follow’, sees LNX T.N.T. OVAPROOF issue a call to move forward, inspired by Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’, which he so powerfully performed at this year’s Superbowl. Coming in hot and strong with commanding bars and pulling in elements from reggae, soul, hip-hop, and more, his words are strong and ride effortlessly above a “trap cartel” style beat, as they inspire with the motto that there’s no going back – the only way to a brighter future is straight ahead.

LNX T.N.T. OVAPROOF offers advice to those who may feel hesitant to move forward. “Go for it”, he insists, with the idea that, “good things don’t come to those who wait” – anything that you want in life will only come if you make the effort. There’s an undeniable urgency to ‘Follow’, and is all the more authentic because it’s clear that he believes every word he sings. He pushes his listeners to confront the risks they’ve avoided and the dreams they’ve delayed, and the haunting refrain of “follow, follow, follow”, long after the final beat, shows us that we need to continue driving forward.

The music video for ‘Follow’ was created in collaboration with Radio of 973 Films, and blends elements of Jamaican culture and everyday life with a resounding call to action. We see LNX, as he strolls through Branch Brook Park, his commanding presence causing us to fall in behind, as he stands tall, radiating pure confidence and strength, setting the tone for everything to come. LNX T.N.T. OVAPROOF brings hope and inspiration with every word.
