Akoma Onwuzuruigbo Releases Debut Single ‘Messenger’

How does a new artist achieve a good reputation in today’s music industry? Take control of their narratives and become their own “Messenger.”

This grassroots method is about to work wonders for emerging Nigerian R&B artist Akoma Onwuzuruigbo and his debut single that exhibits a deep-down blues sensibility about taking heed to warning signals of corrupt men.

The steel-string guitar, handclaps, and Onwuzruigbo’s homegrown soul are essential to his stellar introduction and artistic makeup.

Onwuzuruigbo explained in a press release that “the people that consume my music are longing to escape their present moment and ride off to the land of milk and soulful harmonies. None are more hopelessly enslaved than those that falsely believe they are free.”

“Messenger” is the lead single from his forthcoming EP, which is due sometime later this year.
