After securing his first Top 10 hit on Billboard’s Adult R&B Songs Chart (“Like I Want You”), Givēon shares an acoustic rendition of his fan-favorite track “Still Your Best” in form of a video.
In the clip, Givēon gets into a heated exchange with his former lover who decided to leave him for another guy. “That’s a downgrade and you know it,” he sings over a relaxed production.
“The inspiration behind this video was to make the listener feel like they’re in the room during a very tense conversation,” Givēon explained in a statement.
“Still Your Best” is lifted from Givēon’s latest EP, When It’s All Said And Done, which released in October 2020 via Epic Records.
Givēon, who is among Rated R&B’s Artists to Watch in 2021, already has some major nominations for his work. His debut EP, Take Time, is nominated for Best R&B Album at the 63rd Grammy Awards. He is also up for Outstanding New Artist at the 52nd NAACP Image Awards.
