After playing a special, surprise show in California last week and then playing a special 20th anniversary set of their debut album Focus on the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise, the band is gearing up for a 12-date tour through Latin America this April.
Just as they did on the aforementioned cruise, Cynic will play the entirety of Focus during the Latin American tour. Joining them on stage each night will be Beyond Creation. Moonspell will also be on hand for one night only in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
These latest shows mark the band’s first foray back onto the stage in eight years, having originally hung things up in 2015.
This go around the Cynic lineup is comprised of Paul Masvidal on vocals and guitars, Max Phelps on additional guitars and vocals, Brandon Giffin on bass, Matt Lynch on drums and percussion, and Zeke Kaplan on keys.
Along with their Latin American tour, Cynic will play the ProgPower Festival down in Atlanta, Georgia. You can check out their full itinerary below.
