Gorod Announce Date for Seventh Album

French death metal band Gorod are coming out with their latest album, The Orb, on March 7.

To get stoked on the record, check out the video for the album’s title track here:

And the lyric video for the track “Breeding Silence” here:

This is the follow-up to their latest album, Æthra, and the next capstone to their 26-year-long career. These French pioneers were making technical death metal long before it was cool, and they haven’t disappointed yet. As usual, the album will span inspirations from jazz and funk to progressive fury.

The band say:

“The overall composition of this album stretched out more in time than Æthra, which allowed us to try new things. We wanted to go both a little further in new experiments but also return back to our own sources in order to highlight the contrasts. From the most spontaneous to the most polished, we’ve put together the most accessible and extreme material we could.”

The Orb was produced by David Thiers at Secret Place Studio and will be released on CD, LP, and digitally.

The Orb Track Listing:

1. Chrematheism
2. We Are The Sun Gods
