It’s been nearly two years since ex-Fear Factory vocalist Burton C. Bell left the band, but it’s looking like we’re finally getting closer to learning who’s filling that vacancy. If you head over to the Nuclear Blast YouTube page, you’ll see a video titled Fear Factory Announcement with a premiere time of 12 p.m. ET on February 21.
It’s important to note that while we don’t really know what’s coming in three days, a vocalist announcement would be consistent with guitarist Dino Cazares‘ past statements on the matter. The band is scheduled to start their tour with Static-X and Dope on February 25, so they’ll be cutting it a bit close. And they’ve already been working with their new vocalist in the studio, so they might have something done and ready for release.
So are we going to find out if the new singer’s Italian? Will they be able to weather the inevitable shitstorm from internet trolls following the announcement? We’ll have to wait to find out until this Tuesday but our money’s on yes.
While you wait, you can always pick up tickets to one of the upcoming shows listed below. That way you’ll get to hear Fear Factory’s new singer in person.
