Slayer Does Their Best Kiss Impersonation By Continuing to License Their Name on Everything

Are you a big Slayer fan? Can you not go a minute without letting everyone within your line of sight and earshot know how much of a Slayer fan you really are? Do you enjoy “enhancing” family friendly public outings with said love of Slayer? Then get your wallet ready, because this ridiculously licensed merch might be right up your alley.

Announced earlier today — otherwise known as the International Day of Slayer — cooler company Igloo announced that they’d partnered with the newly revived thrash band to launch yet another cooler in the Slayer Cooler Collection. This year’s iteration is based on South of Heaven, whereas last year’s offering riffed on Reign In Blood. Either way, you’re going to think it’s a lot when you read what it actually is.

For a whopping $174.99, you get an all-black Playmate cooler that has a 26-can capacity and features wireless, water-resistant Bluetooth speakers. All along the sides of the cooler are graphics that feature the band’s 1988 classic. In the event that you don’t want the fancy speakers, you can just get a normal cooler at $39.99. If that’s even too much for ya, the company is also releasing a Reign In Blood wearable six-can sling with a crossbody strap and three 16-ounce vacuum-insulated cans at $19.99 each.

We’re not quite at the level of say, the Kiss casket or something, but you gotta admit a $175 cooler with speakers and Slayer graphics is a looooooot. So what do you say? Will you be getting one?
