Common, Pete Rock “Dreamin”

From the stellar regions of the soul, Common and Pete Rock bring forth their new collaboration, “Dreamin”, the second offering off their upcoming The Auditorium, Vol. 1 album.

Over a sample of Aretha Franklin’s “Day Dreamin”, Common delivers his introspective bars referencing life’s inspirations and ambitions.

“It was all a dream / I was talking to Dr. King / He told me to dream in ways that the prophets dream,” he raps over Pete Rock’s triumphant production. “Like the one he had when nobody could wake him / Or Nelson Mandela, when prison couldn’t break him.”

The Auditorium Vol. 1 is pencicled in for July 12 release and will feature 15 tracks including “Wise Up” and guests Bilal, Jennifer Hudson, Posdnuos, and PJ.
