Atlanta native DIXSON is bringing the heat on his seductive new single “KREAM.” I’ve heard countless interpretations of the Wu-Tang classic, so I figured there was nothing left to do that felt original. Well, I’ll happily admit that I was completely wrong. DIXSON not only makes the best use of the sample but his acronym for “Kitty Rules Everything Around Me” is sure to have tongues wagging.
“You know I’m a dog. It’s my job to chase feline” he slyly sings on the sensual track. Lyrically, the song is littered with an array of double entendres that are sure to be quoted in the Instagram captions of its listeners. Sonically, the track gives classic Prince vibes, but with a modern twist. Vocally, DIXSON displays masterful control of his instrument as he shows off his wide vocal range on the song. The song is sure to satisfy fans of great artists like Miguel and Ro James. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, this is the perfect song to set the late-night mood. The Roc Nation signee has a hit on his hands, and I’m eager to see what else he brings in 2021.
