When a taxing relationship drains the life out of you, self-love can be just the thing to recharge your mind, body, and soul. Janine‘s new single, “Loving Me,” is a testimony.
Above a plush-padded arrangement, the self-produced track’s central theme is knowing your worth when the petals of a withered love are no longer in bloom.
Speaking on “Loving Me,” Janine wrote on Instagram, “This one is very special to me and honestly I still get a bit emotional singing it. This song lifts my soul and I hope it will lift you and feed yours too.”
“Loving You” is the first taste of what Janine has cooked on her musical stove. Last year, she showered her devoted fans with a rainstorm of songs, including the ethereal cover of Rufus and Chaka Khan’s “Ain’t Nobody.”
Janine appeared on Toni Rotimi’s Don’t Talk to Boys album last year. She released her debut album 99 in 2018.
