Ambré Asks ‘Who’s Loving You?’ on New EP

Ambré is back with her latest project, who’s loving you? on Roc Nation Records. The EP arrives just a day before the one-year anniversary of her 3000° EP.

Who’s loving you? is a compact album that consists of five tracks. Rising singer Mack Keane appears on “Elevate,” a narcotic jam where the two sing about connecting with a sneaky link.

Producer Malik 95 supplies Ambré with a distorted tempo shift on “One Call Away.” She directly addresses an ex who had her in the palm of her hands but couldn’t keep her vindictive attitude to a minimum.

Ambré permits bae to take control between the sheets on “Bad Habits,” a sultry Jay Versace production. The finale, “Pt. II (Drake & Drive),” is a continuation of a previous song from 3000° with a similar title.

Regarding the new project, Ambré says, “who’s loving you? is a question I’m asking myself and asking the audience. What does it feel like? What does it sound like to be loved? This project felt very free and open in the creative process. I made this with the intention of having fun and being open. I wanted to create something that felt like ‘b-sides’ or ‘deep cuts,’ almost like a mixtape. Still very intentional but it was very easy to make. The project begins where 3000° ends.”

Ahead of who’s loving you? Ambré has had a strong year. “I’m Baby,” the Jvck James-assisted single from 3000°, spent one week at No. 1 on R&B radio and Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.

The success of “I’m Baby” and the buzz around 3000° landed Ambré a Best New Artist nomination at the 2023 BET Awards, slated for Sunday, June 25, at 8 p.m. ET.

Ambré is scheduled to perform on the first day of the 2023 AFRAM Festival, June 17, at the historic Druid Hill Park in Baltimore, Maryland. The free event will be headlined by Ty Dolla $ign, with Eric Bellinger performing before him.
