Corinne Bailey Rae Announces 2023 Tour Dates

Corinne Bailey Rae has unveiled the dates for her headlining tour.

The North American leg kicks off Sept. 5 in Long Island, New York, at Staller Center for the Arts at Stony Brook University.

From there, the English singer/songwriter will play in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Chicago and New Orleans. Bailey Rae will wrap up the first leg on Oct. 7 in Marfa, Texas, at Saint George Hall.

Bailey Rae will launch the U.K. and Spain leg on Oct. 25 in London. She will play three nights at Ladbroke Hall, then will head to Spain for the remainder of the tour, which concludes Nov. 3.

Bailey Rae’s upcoming tour will support her forthcoming album, Black Rainbows, out Sept. 15. The album was inspired by artworks collected by Theaster Gates at the Stony Island Arts Bank in Chicago, Illinois.

“I knew when I walked through those doors that my life had changed forever. Engaging with these archives and encountering Theaster Gates and his practice has changed how I think about myself as an artist and what the possibilities of my work can be,” Bailey Rae explained.

She continued, “This music has come through seeing. Seeing has been like hearing, for me. While I was looking, songs/sounds appeared.”

Black Rainbows will include the lead single “New York Transit Queen.” The album will follow Bailey Rae’s 2016 album, The Heart Speaks In Whispers.
