Exclusive Interview with Black Pool Mecca

Tell us about your latest project!

Our latest project is called ” Serotonin”. It was written during lockdown when we were all kinda losing our minds and unsure what to do with ourselves.

What is a dream venue for you to perform in?

I think we have quite a few really. The Ryman Auditorium here in Nashville is definitely a big one for all of us.

What has been keeping you inspired to create recently?

Each other. We play off of each other regularly, one of us will play something cool and everyone else just wants to create something as cool as that. We have a little bit of a competitive spirit in a way and we each just want to create cool things to show one another

What has been the biggest game changer in your career this far?

Getting our first van. It’s been so great to finally have solid transportation for the band to get out and play new cities.

Who would you say is your biggest cheerleader in your career?

Our parents without a doubt. They have been nothing but loving and supporting through the years.

How important do you think it is for artists to know and understand music history?

Incredibly, not only is it important to know the roots of what you’re creating but it’s also super fun and inspiring to learn about. Any time we watch a music documentary or read a biography it just makes us want to pick up our instruments and get better at our craft.

Any upcoming projects you want us to know about?

Our next release is called “Darts” . It comes out June 24th, we wrote it together during a rehearsal when a woman was outside sitting in the street yelling on her phone about how she didn’t need drugs and no longer felt loved.

Please let everyone know where they can keep up with you and your music!
