Los Angeles, California — After 20 years of silence from releasing music, Arizona country singer Buddy Greenbloom revealed new Americana single, “Tent City” that impacted streaming platforms this summer. Drawing from his deep Houston, Texas roots, “Tent City” proves Greenbloom’s passion for the authentic country sound. From watching local bands perform at honky-tonks to various events such as rodeo’s, Greenbloom pulls his inspiration from the Houston country music scene.
Fans of alternative music, gothic culture and singing cowboys all have something to rejoice about today. Buddy Greenbloom, the “Gothic Cowboy” returned to the studio after 19 years of silence. With a new album in the works, Greenbloom has released two new singles about life in contemporary western America. His latest single, “Tent City” is a dark musical tale about horrors prisoners experienced while incarcerated in the open-air desert jail, where temperatures would often exceed 110 degrees Fahrenheit. “Tent City” released on ITunes, Amazon Music and Spotify on Monday, July 4th, 2022.
“Tent City” is Greenbloom’s second single released in 2022 leading up to his first album, in over 19 years. Critics are already praising his first two singles released in over 19 years. Amelia Vandergast at A&R Factory wrote, “his vocal timbre resounds with the same magnetic pull as the likes of Dylan and Cohen, but there’s plenty of extra twang from the notorious singing cowboy who made a name for himself in 2003 with his alt country covers of infamous punk rock tracks.” Now in the works, Buddy’s forthcoming album promises to collect over a decade of Greenbloom’s best neo-western compositions, recorded with some of the industry’s best studio musicians.

With his debut studio LP currently in the works, the Houston-born, Arizona-based artist is definitively worth a spot on your radar.
