Soulful and Groovy Music With Immense Story-Telling Capabilities: Tamami Maitland Releases Hit New Love Song.

“Feeling Your Love Tonight” is the latest addition to a consortium of music by Tamami Maitland that takes listeners through a journey of self-healing to uplift spirits.

Burnaby, BC, Canada — Tamami Maitland is a promising young artist who creates positively toned music that helps listeners engross themselves in alternate realities. This collection of soothing, melodic music helps create real and enduring connections with people through moving messages. The eclectic artist draws from Japanese culture and poetry creating a uniquely imaginative place within her art.

Tamami was only eight when she discovered her unwavering affinity for poetry and music. Coupled with the influences of Japanese art, music, and culture, the rising star’s music contains subtle themes of nature, seasons, and emotions each of which connects with the other, thus promising lyrical diversity and musical depth to loyal fans. The artist has developed her style of music that is a culmination of several different musical genres such as jazz, pop, R&B, and soul pushing the parameters of the traditional understanding of music.

“Feeling Your Love Tonight” is a song about a long-distance love story, which also encourages the audiences to believe the intuition that they’re connected.  It helps listeners keep an eye out for the exact moment when they feel that pure connection with someone who genuinely syncs with their innermost reality. Tamami feels that the world needs a sense of “connection” now more than ever after the pandemic. At least a year in a contactless world has only helped emphasize the importance of human emotional and physical connection as the most resolute support in adverse times.

The artist’s end goal in music is to encourage and help people stay positive. Tamami believes that imagination helps both our self-healing process and developing our creative mind. For this reason, she is a big fan of many different forms of art and creation. Her newest album ‘Sky Canvas’ specifically embodies the role of both nature and art in helping create a uniquely cathartic place for forlorn souls.

ABOUT

Tamami Maitland is a singer-songwriter and Jazz pianist based in Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada. Growing up in Japan, the artist was heavily influenced by the beautiful animation of Studio Ghibli and Japanese culture. It is for this reason that all of her original songs are often related to nature, the seasons, and love, just like traditional Japanese poetry. After receiving extensive Jazz education from Berklee College of Music (MA, USA) and Capilano University (BC, Canada), the artist has developed her style of music, staying true to her origin and her aspiration.

Tamami has released about twenty singles and one album, with more to come in the next year. In 2021, the artist was selected to perform with her own vocal/piano trio for DTES (Downtown East Side) Artist Showcase in Vancouver BC Canada, and in 2022 she was selected to perform at five festivals in British Columbia’s Lower mainland. Tamami is all set to release new singles and go on a Japan tour in 2023!
