Exclusive Interview with BRKN

Hello The BRKN! Great to speak with you today!

What have you been working on lately?

Hello! Thank you so much for having me! This is Jacob Cade the singer of The BRKN.

Lately we’ve been working on new material to put out early 2023. We want to release another EP with a bit more of an organic and self reflective vibe. It’s exciting we can’t wait to have more music for our fans to listen to!

Who inspired you to get into music?

Honestly the first thing that got me into playing music was watching The Song Remains the Same by Led Zeppelin. That changed my life and made me want to be nothing but a guitar player in a band. The vocal part came  when I got obsessed with Michael Jackson.

When was the first time you recall thinking that you wanted to pursue music as your career?

The first time I knew music was what I wanted to do was when I saw Led Zeppelin The Song Remains the Same on DVD. As well as, when I saw Michael Jackson perform at Motown on VHS.

What is your favorite song you’ve ever released and why?

So far my favorite tune we’ve ever put out has got to be Coffee. I’m really proud of how that song came about and how unique it sounds compared to our other stuff. At least that’s how I feel.

Who are some of the artists currently inspiring you?

The Band Camino, The 1975, Michael Jackson, Blackbear, and JP Saxe.

What are you hoping to see in the music world as it continues to evolve?

Honestly I just hope more killer artists come to light and change the world. I love when a band shows up and just destroys everything that’s “big” at the moment. I’m interested to see who’s next.

Please let everyone know how they can keep up with you and your music!
