How would you classify your music?
It’s a blend of New Country, and traditional Country. 90’s Country on steroids! Lol
Who are some of your top 5 musical influences?
- Keith Whitley 2. Ricky Skaggs 3. Vince Gill 4. Brad Paisley 5. George Strait
What do you want fans to take from your music?
I just want them to enjoy it. I try to make music that I’d like to listen to, and I can relate to… keep it real as they say!
How’s the music scene in your locale?
I live in Nashville, so it is great! You can find about any type of music from any generation you want!
When did you know you were destined for music?
My parents knew I had a thing for music by the time I was a toddler. I was singing in my dad’s band by the time I was a teenager, but I really didn’t get serious about it til I was in my early twenties.
What is the best concert you have been to? What do you like most about playing live?
I’d have to say Chris Janson. That guy is such an entertainer and really brings a lot of energy to his shows! My favorite part of playing live is getting to jam with other musicians. It’s a great feeling when everybody’s grooving!
What was the inspiration behind your new single “Ain’t The Beer,” and how did it come about? Tell us a little bit about it.
Cold hearted women! I never really asked the writers how it came about, but I got a good idea! Haha
How have you evolved as an artist over the last year?
I’ve just matured. I’m starting to feel like an old veteran instead of a young rookie!
If you could meet, play a gig, co-write a song, have dinner, have a drink with any band or artist (dead or alive) who would it be and why?
It would definitely be Keith Whitley. There’s something I feel when he sings that only happens when I listen to him.
What’s next for you?
I have more new music coming, and probably a music video not too far away!
