50 Cent has claimed that Netflix has picked up his docuseries about Diddy, with the streaming giant winning “the bidding war”.
Diddy – real name Sean Combs – is currently facing a series of ongoing investigations regarding alleged sex trafficking, sexual assault and harassment. The rapper’s homes in Miami and Los Angeles were raided in March, seemingly in connection with the accusations. The ‘I’ll Be Missing You’ singer has denied all allegations made against him.
Back in March, 50 Cent confirmed that a documentary on the sexual assault allegations surrounding Combs is to be released, titled Diddy Do It?
Now, 50 Cent – real name Curtis Jackson – has revealed that Netflix has purchased his multi-part documentary about the sexual assault allegations against Diddy.
The ‘Candy Shop’ rapper claimed that there was a “bidding war” over the forthcoming docuseries, which is being produced by his entertainment company G-Unit Film and Television.
Per TMZ, the bidding war allegedly included various networks and all of the streaming platforms attempting to land the series. The outlet also shared that sources have said that the docuseries will be arriving on Netflix soon.
In a now deleted tweet (as per The Independent), Jackson announced yesterday (May 22) “Netflix wins the bidding war” and added that “more episodes” would be needed if allegations against Combs continued to emerge.
50 Cent has been very vocal about all of the allegations emerging against Diddy. He recently hit out at the mogul over his apology video for allegedly attacking Cassie in newly released footage.
The ‘Many Men’ singer reposted Diddy’s video on Instagram and captioned it: “This is not going to work, who is advising him right now? SMH bad move.”
The rapper also reposted the graphic footage of the attack and wrote in the caption: “Now I’m sure puffy didn’t do it, he is innocent this proves nothing! This is what his lawyers are gonna say, God help us all.”
Jackson also responded to Diddy’s previous statement released, denying all allegations made against him prior to the publication of the surveillance footage of him allegedly attacking Cassie.
Last month, he also showed his support for Kesha, after she changed the lyrics to her debut single ‘TiK ToK’ to insult Diddy.
In other news, Diddy has been recently accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a former model.
