Weekend Reader Poll: Which Nu-Metal Band Was The Best?

Nostalgia is a hell of a drug. Years after the best times for nu-metal are long behind us, it seems people just can’t get enough of the bands that were dominating teenagers’ lockers and Walkmans in the late 90s/early 2000s. Slipknot’s donning the old 1999 red jumpsuits on a 25th anniversary tour, Korn’s still a big deal, and even System of a Down’s been on everyone’s mind lately.

Earlier this month, we asked you guys which nu-metal band you thought was the absolute worst, because let’s face it — it’s a genre that’s insanely hit or miss. Unsurprisingly, Crazy Town and their cringe inducing “Butterfly” took the top spot. This time around, however, we want to see what the MetalSucks reader thinks is good nu-metal. We’re running the same poll, only this time you must pick your favorites.

We’re doing things a little differently this time around though. Rather than pick just one band, we’re letting you tell us which bands you really like by opening the choice up a bit. Now, you can pick up to five nu-metal bands that you feel were the best in the biz.

So let us know what you think in the comments and cast your vote(s) right now. Voting will run until 9 a.m. EST this Tuesday, May 28, so the time to get your votes in is a little longer with the holiday.

Ultimately, we’ll share the results on the website, hopefully with some of your comments in tow. So feel free to vote and comment down below. You might end up in the follow up article.
