Kylie Minogue and Orville Peck have joined forces on stage, and played the live debut of a new track called ‘Midnight Ride’. Check out the fan-shot footage below.
The moment took place as the Australian pop icon took to the stage at West Hollywood Pride last Sunday night (June 2) to close out the Outloud Music Festival in California.
As well as airing hits including ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ and ‘Padam Padam’, the singer invited country star Peck onstage for a duet. For their team-up, they broke out the first-ever performance of a currently unreleased song called ‘Midnight Ride’.
Renowned DJ Diplo also joined them for the track – which was performed halfway through Minogue’s hour-long set on the night – and the ‘Spinning Around’ artist can be heard singing “Let me take you on a midnight ride, baby you and I,” during the song.
Peck also introduced the track by stating (via Stereogum): “It’s a disco-country song, because, you know, we had to do a little bit of me and a little bit of Kylie. It’s been in the works for kind of a long time now, but we’re finally ready to have it out.”
The following day, Peck took to Instagram to share a joint post with both Minogue and Diplo, confirming that the track will be arriving officially later this week.

“Let us take you on a ‘Midnight Ride’… THIS FRIDAY. Pre-save now,” he wrote in the caption. ‘Midnight Ride’ is set to feature on the country star’s upcoming album ‘Stampede’. The project has already seen him collaborate with Sir Elton John, Willie Nelson, Allison Russell and more.

Others who performed at the festival over the weekend included Janelle Monáe, Ashnikko, Trixie Mattel and Noah Cyrus. The latter has also collaborated with Peck on the new LP.
As for Minogue, the singer is set to headline the 2024 edition of BST Hyde Park in London on July 13, where she will be supported by Marina, Anitta and more.
Also headlining BST Hyde Park this summer are SZA (June 29), Kings Of Leon (June 30), Morgan Wallen (July 4) Andrea Bocelli (July 5), Robbie Williams (July 6), Shania Twain (July 7), Stevie Nicks (July 12) and Stray Kids (July 14).
Minogue had hinted at her new genre-bending collaboration while at the 2024 BRIT Awards earlier this year, where she received the Global Icon prize.
Speaking to NME on the red carpet, the singer revealed that she was open to more collaborations in the future as it leads to her exploring new avenues with her music.
“I just love collaboration and stepping into different [genres]. Being malleable and seeing what’s possible,” she said. “I like all change. Who would’ve thought I’d do a murder ballad with Nick Cave [1996’s ‘Where The Wild Roses Grow’]? Or sing with Kermit the Frog?
“There are so many artists I love, and every collaboration takes you somewhere you didn’t know you’d go. So watch this space! You never know, something might come of tonight.”
