Ciara’s Debut Album ‘Goodies’ to Be Reissued on Vinyl

Legacy Recordings has announced Ciara’s iconic debut album, Goodies, will be reissued on vinyl to commemorate its 20th anniversary.

The 2LP limited-edition vinyl will be available in an opaque hot pink pressing. It will include the original album, plus two rarities: “Crazy” and “Represent Me.” Additionally, it will include a new dance mix of “Goodies” by Dipha Barus.

Goodies (20th Anniversary) will be released on Sept. 27, both on vinyl and digitally.

The original version of Goodies was released Sept. 28, 2004, via LaFace Records. The album was preceded by the Petey Pablo-assisted title track, which spent seven weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song made history as the chart’s longest-running No. 1 debut single by a female artist since 1977.

Goodies debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, selling 125,000 copies in the first week. The album also included the other hit single “1, 2 Step” featuring Missy Elliott, which peaked at No. 2 on the Hot 100. The album’s third single, “Oh,” featuring Ludacris, also peaked at No. 2 on the latter chart.

Ciara is gearing up to embark on the Out of This World Tour with Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, and special guest Timbaland.

The 24-city tour kicks off July 4 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia. From there, it will make stops in Los Angeles, Houston, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Brooklyn, and Toronto. The tour will conclude Aug. 23 at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.
