No stranger to the late night television scene, Gojira drummer Mario Duplantier will return behind the kit for the 8G Band on Late Night with Seth Meyers next week. According to showrunners, he’ll be on the show from June 17 to 20, so if you’re a fan of Seth Meyers, Gojira, or Frenchmen with a penchant for hitting things hard with sticks, you’ll want to tune into NBC at 12:35 a.m. EST.
Having already played for the show before, he remains one of the many metal drummers to participate in the show. Other past performers include Torche’s Rich Smith, Tool’s Danny Carey, Deftones’ Abe Cunningham, Mastodon’s Brann Dailor, and more.
As you can expect, Duplantier is heading onto the show to likely try to drum up excitement for the band’s upcoming 25-date tour with Korn and Spiritbox later this year. That run will start on September 12 in Tampa, Florida and comes to a halt on October 27 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
