Watch Charli XCX and Addison Rae debut ‘Von Dutch’ remix on stage in Los Angeles

Charli XCX was joined on stage in Los Angeles this weekend by Addison Rae for a performance of their remix of ‘Von Dutch’ – watch the footage below.

Earlier this year, Charli and TikTok star Addison teamed up on a remix of ‘Von Dutch’, alongside A.G. Cook. The remix’s updated verses saw Charli trade lines with Rae as they sing: “I’m just living that life / While you’re sittin’ in your dad’s basement / Bet you’re disappointed that I’m shinin’”.

On Saturday, Charli played the Shrine Auditorium in LA and towards the end of the set, she brought out Addison for the live debut of the remix, to a rapturous response.

Charli released her sixth studio album ‘Brat’ on June 7, and just a few days later shared the deluxe edition, which included three extra tracks in the form of ‘Hello Goodbye’, ‘Guess’ and ‘Spring Breakers’.

The album made it to Number Two on the UK Albums Chart in its first week of release, only being held off the top by Taylor Swift’s ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, which happened to be boosted by a new UK-only exclusive digital format.

In a four-star review of ‘Brat’NME wrote: “On the self-described ‘club record’, XCX offers pure party girl hedonism. Percolating beats, brash synths, left-field production and vocal lines that flit between bratty quips or honest one-liners.”

“With ‘Brat’, XCX demonstrates that going her own way will always sound pretty good,” it added.

Following the release of ‘Brat’, Lorde praised Charli and the album, writing on social media: “The only album I’ve ever presaved is out today. Charli just cooked this one different. So much grit, grace & skin in the game.”

“I speak for all of us when I say it’s an honour to be moved, changed and gagged by her work. There is NO ONE like this bitch. Brava and welcome Brat,” Lorde added.
