Boyd Tinsley, Former Dave Matthews Band Member, Arrested for DUI

Boyd Tinsley, former member of Dave Matthews Band, was arrested and charged with a DUI after he was involved in a multi-car accident in Rio, Virginia on Monday, according to TMZ.

Tinsley was a member of Dave Matthews Band from 1992 until his dismissal in 2018 following allegations of sexual misconduct made by a former member of Tinsley’s band, Crystal Garden. In 2019, Tinsley reached a financial settlement with his accuser, James Frost-Winn; but earlier this year, Frost-Winn filed a new lawsuit against Tinsley alleging that he breached the terms of their initial settlement by disparaging him on social media.

This fall, Tinsley will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Dave Matthew Band. It’s unclear whether Tinsley will be invited to participate in the induction ceremony festivities scheduled to take place in Cleveland, Ohio on October 19th.
