With their forthcoming album Melodies of Atonement coming out on August 30, Leprous released the LP’s opening track, “Silently Walking Alone” and its accompanying music video earlier today.
As the new album’s opening song, frontman Einar Solberg said it’s an immediate departure from the band’s previous effort, Aphelion.
“[‘Silently Walking Alone’ is] very electronic, epic, simplistic and heavy. It’s kind of the sister song of ‘Atonement’ sound wise, but you’ll be in for some surprises when it comes to the rest of the album.
“The song is about gradually learning to be ok by myself, and to be ok in my own company. Hikes and nature have helped me quiet my mind and to become more level headed.”
Melodies of Atonement will be released on August 30 via InsideOutMusic, but you can preorder your copy today.
Almost immediately following the album’s release, the band will go out on tour throughout North America with Monuments and Fight The Fight. You can find the full list of tour dates below and get your tickets today.
