Willfully trapping yourself on a floating city with a ridiculous amount of fellow metalheads either sounds like a dream vacation or a private, personal hell depending on who you ask, but this year’s 70000TONS OF METAL cruise looks like it might be worth the trouble.
Set to sail from Miami, Florida to Ocho Rios, Jamaica from January 30 to February 3, the cruise will once again offer a huge bill of bands that’ll be performing on board, along with a massive number of other activities to hang out and have some fun along the way.
As you can see from the list below, there are some major heavy hitters on this year’s cruise. In a number of instances, these bands will be performing special sets like Decapitated playing the entirety of Nihility and Cancer Culture, or Emperor playing a set full of classic bangers.

- Kalmah (playing the They Will Return and Swampsong albums)

- Samael (playing the Ceremony of Opposites and Passage albums)
- Septicflesh

- Stratovarius (playing the Visions album and a Best Of set)
