Eminem shares the dark and gruesome video for his latest single, “Tobey”, featuring his fellow Detroit rappers Big Sean and BabyTron.
Directed by Lyrical Lemonade’s Cole Bennet, BabyTron sets it off from a warehouse and rooftop spitting, “Upped in the bitch, you can keep what you owe / Granny told me, “Boy, you reap what you sow” / Do the most, we over, even the score / Steady on the run, glued his feet to the floor.”
Big Sean picks up the pace from a power plant with his double-time flow. “I put all of my heart and my soul in it / I met you in person, you so different / I can’t listen to you for a whole minute,” he raps. “Took a blood test, ain’t no ho in it / Watch your motherfucking mouth ‘fore I go in it,” before Slim Shady questions your top 5.
Donning a Jason Vorhees mask and ripping a chainsaw, Slim raps, “Ain’t feelin’ your top five favorite rappers / So I know they ’bout to be pissed at me / But this, to me, is a mystery / How rappers I’ve already ripped could be / Higher up on a list than me / Yet here I sit on your list though at five, which still was fine.”
“Tobey” is the follow-up to “Houdini” and are both off off the Detroit rapper’s upcoming album, The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) due Friday (July 12).
