The Shindellas Tap Q Parker for ‘Think of Me Too’: Stream

Vocal trio The Shindellas have teamed up with Q Parker (formerly of 112) for their new track “Think of Me Too.” It’s a remix of their endearing song “Think of Me” from their sophomore album, Shindo

On “Think of Me Too,” Q Parker faithfully sings the original second verse with minor word changes to fit his perspective on the devotional anthem.

“People gon’ try and make you doubt your feelings / People gon try and say this love won’t last /  Let ‘em talk we both know we got the real thing / Promise I’ll be your man for life / ‘Cause forever you are my girl,” he croons.

While “Think of Me” stands strong in its own merits, “Think of Me Too” elevates the ballad to new heights.

As noted above, the original version of “Think of Me” appears on The Shindellas’ second album, Shindo. The album was written and produced by Louis York (Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony).

Speaking on “Think of Me,” Stacy of The Shindellas told Rated R&B, “[It was] necessary to hear a classic R&B ballad, classic modulation, [and] a classic love song. We wanted to have that [as] a part of the album [and] wanted that feeling.”

Released Oct. 20, 2023, via Weirdo Workshop/Thirty Tigers, Shindo also included The Shindellas’ first top 10 Billboard hit, “Last Night Was Good for My Soul,” as well as the other singles “Juicy” and “Ooh La La.”

Shindo was ranked No. 9 on Rated R&B’s 25 Best R&B Albums of 2023 list.

“This is definitely an album of confidence,” Stacy told Rated R&B. “We are showing our femininity, our love and sexuality. It has so much of our own personal stories and perspectives in it.”
