Deidre Thornell Drops New Boot-Stomping Single ‘Honky Tonk’

Nashville, TN —Deidre Thornell released a new boot-stomping anthem that shines on her fun and witty side, showcasing the blues-inspired cheeky country song.

‘Honky Tonk’ tells a story of a girl who is craving to go dancing with her lover, rather than spending another routine night at home, which perfectly encapsulates Deidre’s captivating country style while offering a small glimpse into her life growing up in the heart of Texas.

‘Honky Tonk’ was a collaborative effort between Deidre and esteemed songwriter Delphia. “We aimed to create a blend of powerful vocals, relatable and playful lyrics with infectious energy that would resonate with the ladies – oh, and we wanted to create music that’s fun to dance around to on stage too, while the audience is two-stepping! It doesn’t get better than that at live shows,” says Deidre.

The wailing steel, lively guitar and clever lyrics transports the listener straight to the Honky Tonk, where the inspiration was found for this vibrant track, produced by Dran Michael Lewis at Dead Bird Studios in Chattanooga, TN.

The country music genre is witnessing a revival in popularity, and not just fascinating audiences from Texas to Tennessee, which is why this new single is a must-listen for any country music lover or festival goer.

‘Honky Tonk’ is the first song released from Deidre’s new collection of music, and simply a taste for what is down the pipeline in August, September and October, with the addition to more releases at the holidays. You can listen to ‘Honky Tonk’ on all streaming platforms and follow Deidre on social media.
