Eminem has just scored his 11th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 charts with his latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce).
Billboard reports the set made its No. 1 debut with 281,000 units in its first week and114,000 units in traditional album sales. 164,500 of its SEA units equaled 220.08 million on-demand official streams of its 19 tracks.
Eminem’s 11th No. 1 album now ties Bruce Springsteen, Barbra Streisand and Kanye West for the fifth-most No. 1s on the Billboard 200. Ahead of them are The Beatles with the record of 19, followed by both Jay-Z and Taylor Swift with 14, and Drake at 13.
The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) becomes the largest week of any rap album in 2024 and the second-largest overall behind Taylor Swift’s Poets.
Em’s previous chart-topping albums include Music To Be Murdered By (2020), Kamikaze (2018), Revival (2017), The Marshall Mathers LP 2 (2013), Recovery (2010), Relapse (2009), Curtain Call: The Hits (2005), Encore (2004), The Eminem Show (2002), and The Marshall Mathers LP (2000).
The Death Of Slim Shady (Coupe de Grâce) marks Eminem’s twelfth studio album, his first album in four years. The 19-track set is preceded by the singles “Houdini” and “Tobey” featuring Big Sean and BabyTron. The album also includes contributions from Dr. Dre, JID, Skylar Grey, Bizarre, Ez Mill, Sly Piper, White Gold, Jelly Roll, and more.
