Get Ready to Shamble Over to Catch the Shaun of the Dead 20th Anniversary Theatrical Release Next Month

It’s already been 20 years since the zombie flick Shaun Of The Dead was released!? Are you fucking serious?! Oh god………

…..

Okay, existential crisis over…ish.

According to the announcement earlier today, the classic Edgar Wright film starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost will return to theaters on August 29 at AMC Theaters everywhere. If you missed this movie or want to share it with a (reasonably) younger audience, now’s your chance.

In a press release, Wright announced that this current version of Shaun has been completely remastered with Dolby Atmos and Vision. That means the movie’s gonna sound and look better than it originally did in *gulp* ……2004.

“Twenty years ago, the worldwide release of ‘Shaun of the Dead’ changed my life forever. Its reception since then has continued to be incredible, largely due to the passionate fans who have championed it with cricket bats aloft. Now, as we celebrate its bloody 20th anniversary with a brand-new Dolby Atmos and Vision remastered version, I’m beyond excited for everyone to experience it once again on the big screen—the way it was always meant to be seen: large, loud, and with quite a lot of red on it.”

You can check out the re-release’s trailer below and locate a theater near you.
