Hermano’s Back with a New Single and Album Coming This October

For the first time in 15 years, cult favorite desert/stoner rock outfit Hermano are back with not just a new single, titled “Breathe”, but an entirely new album dubbed when the moon was high… due out on October 4 via Ripple Music.

Comprised of a veritable who’s who of desert rock trailblazers, Hermano is vocalist John Garcia (ex-Kyuss), bassist Dandy Brown, guitarists Mike Callahan (Disengage) and David Angstrom (Supafuzz), and drummer Chris Leathers (Supafuzz). Though all of those dudes have been playing in bands with each other for decades, the band said they were excited to bring Hermano back after all this time.

As for the album itself, it sounds like a lot of these tracks are old B-sides or entirely new compositions based on old riffs and tapes the band’s gone over while attempting to remix/remaster/reissue their entire back catalog on Ripple Music.

“We are so incredibly thankful to be able to bring new music to both new fans and those who have followed Hermano for the last twenty-six years. We are eagerly looking forward to continuing this reissues and special editions journey with Ripple Music, so hang onto your hats because we have a lot more coming and a long way to go. Breathing new life into our catalog and having the opportunity to release special new music like ‘Breathe’ is an especially ‘dream-come-true’ time for all of us. For that, and to all who have continued to stay interested, thank you.”

You can either check out the new track below or on any digital music streaming platform. Hermano’s when the moon was high… will be released on October 4 via Ripple Music, but you can also preorder your copy today.
