Blackbraid Covers I Track “Warriors”

With a European tour coming up in October, American black metal firebrand Blackbraid dropped a special treat earlier today by releasing their cover of I’s track “Warriors”. Originally featured on the black metal supergroup’s 2006 album Between Two Worlds, this new rendition is incredibly badass.

For the uninitiated or those that aren’t familiar, I was comprised of Abbath’s guitarist/vocalist Abbath, Enslaved guitarist Ice Dale, ex-Gorgoroth bassist TC King, and ex-Immortal drummer Armagedda. Lyrics for the project were handled by Immortal’s Demonaz. As one would expect from a group filled with so many personalities, that supergroup didn’t last long.

Still, it’s badass to hear such a widely revered black metal artist like Blackbraid pay homage to such a wild group in black metal’s history. You can check out the track below.

As mentioned earlier, Blackbraid will be heading out on tour with Lamp of Murmuur and Dödsrit across Europe this October. Just days before that kicks off though, he’ll also be playing the C.Y. Festival in Los Angeles, California.

Dates and locations for both of Blackbraid’s concert plans can be found below.
