They have previously released two studio albums: 2011’s ‘Stereo Typical’ and 2013’s ‘Roaring 20s’. The band’s latest single, ‘Slurp!’, came out in 2016.

Now, Rizzle Kicks have shared details of a brand-new song called ‘Javelin’ on social media. The track is due to arrive next Friday (August 30).

In 2021, he spoke to NME about his solo single ‘Star’. “[This song] was initially me talking about coming from two people who’ve had complex, crazy lives – my mum and dad,” Stephens explained.

“And then I’m born and I’ve got my own shit and for some reason I’m in everyone’s fucking face. And everyone’s trying to compete to be there.”

Additionally, he talked about how the music industry had “changed massively” since his days in Rizzle Kicks.

“It’s mad to me. Somebody literally said to me, ‘A good song isn’t good enough any more’,” he told NME. “That was an actual statement I had from somebody who works at one of the biggest music channels in the game, and for me I think it’s a shame.”

Meanwhile, Alexander-Sule has released music under the moniker Jimi Charles Moody.
