Smoke Weed Every Day: Paul McCartney Told Snoop Dogg Not Too Put Out His Blunt When They Met

Snoop Dogg usually isn’t willing to put out a blunt for just anyone, but he was willing to make a special exception for Sir Paul McCartney when they met for the first time.

In a recent sitdown with Complex alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop recalled an unexpected run-in with the Beatles member after a performance in Los Angeles. “I’ve never met him before but I’m a fuckin’ fan of the Beatles,” he shared. “I’m in the back smoking and they’re like, ‘Sir Paul would like to meet you.’ So I’m like, ‘Oh, for real? Hold on.’” While Snoop didn’t mention where the meeting happened, photos surfaced of the two together backstage during a Jimmy Buffet tribute in May.

Snoop explained that he started to put out the blunt in his hand out of respect for the music icon, but upon entering the room, McCartney told him to continue. “Cuz walks in the room like, ‘Don’t put that down,’” Snoop said happily. “He give me a hug and he meets me, and it’s like, ‘Fuck. Paul McCartney knows who the fuck Snoop Dogg is.’”
