Donna Aceto is a New York City-based lesbian photographer specializing in LGBTQ news, political activism and cultural events.
Donna was the Lead Photographer for AIDS Walk New York and Los Angeles for more than 25 Years. She is still the photographer for AIDS Walk San Francisco. For more than 15 years was also the primary photographer for Gay Men’s Health Crisis.
In addition to her vast experience working with elected officials, community leaders and celebrities – her clients include the NY Civil Liberties Union, Callen-Lorde, the Stonewall Democrats of NY, Iris House, SAGE and the Edith S. Windsor Trust among others.
Donna spends the majority of her time photographing for Gay City News, Rise and Resist and Gays Against Guns. She is also a frequent contributor to the new web-based LGBTQ Community News.
Donna was recently featured on MNNs The Recruiters with Sen. Tom Duane and the cover of The Advocate as a community elder.
She received a Gay City Community Impact Award in 2019.
