Some artists are discovered. Others are simply revealed. ShanDaria belongs to the latter—an R&B songstress whose voice has always been present, waiting only for the right moment to step fully into its power.
Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, ShanDaria doesn’t remember a time when music wasn’t part of her life. Singing came as naturally as breathing. As a child, she hummed through commercials, sang during kindergarten circle time, and confidently asked her teacher if she could perform in front of the class. Music wasn’t a hobby or a passing phase—it was her compass.

Raised as the eldest child in a blended family, ShanDaria learned early how to build her own world. Storytelling and sound became her foundation, shaping not only her voice but her perspective. That grounding is evident in her music today, which carries a sense of lived experience, resilience, and emotional honesty.
Her influences read like a lineage of soulful greatness: Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Faith Evans, and later, Jazmine Sullivan. Among them, Faith Evans stands as a defining force. ShanDaria’s artistry reflects that tradition—women who sing with purpose, vulnerability, and truth. Her sound exists at the intersection of R&B, hip-hop, and soul, infused with a subtle Southern edge that makes it unmistakably her own.
After college, ShanDaria made an early push into the music industry—recording an album, working with management, and chasing momentum. But the industry, and the city around it, looked very different at the time. The process became frustrating, and she made the difficult decision to step away, channeling her entrepreneurial spirit into building successful businesses in Charlotte’s hair and beauty world.
Life expanded. Motherhood arrived. Responsibilities multiplied. Yet music never truly left her orbit.
Years later, drawn back to her first love, ShanDaria re-entered the studio—not chasing trends, but telling her truth. What began as a group project with close friends evolved into a solo journey, marked by songs that blend real-life experience with undeniable groove. Her debut release, “Rid Of You,” introduced listeners to her grown-woman honesty—an unfiltered reflection on letting go and moving forward.
Her most recent single, “Livin’,” produced by Krazy Figz, captures a different energy altogether. Bright, uplifting, and purposeful, the song celebrates forward motion and joy. “It’s positive, it’s motivating, it’s inspiring,” ShanDaria explains. “It’s the soundtrack to actually living your life to the fullest.” The track feels like a declaration—a woman fully stepping into who she is and where she’s going.

This holiday season, ShanDaria also re-released “Santa,” a Christmas record that highlights her versatility and warmth. It’s festive yet timeless, blending seasonal joy with classic R&B soul—another reminder that her voice transcends moments and genres alike.
ShanDaria’s journey is not one of overnight success, but of evolution. It’s the story of a woman who paused, lived, learned, and returned stronger—singing not from ambition alone, but from experience. With each release, she’s not just making music; she’s building a legacy rooted in authenticity, optimism, and undeniable soul.
And if “Livin’” is any indication, ShanDaria is only just getting started.
