Justin Timberlake Eyes Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott Collaborations

Justin Timberlake is cooking up new music.

While promoting his new film Palmer on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Friday (Jan. 29), the singer revealed that a new album is in the works.

“Is there a possibility that there’s going to be a new Justin Timberlake album in the works?” Fallon asked the father of two, who turns 40 today.

“Yeah, we can say that,” Timberlake responded. “There is a possibility. Let’s go with yes. I’ve been in and out of the studio working on stuff.”

“I played you a few tunes,” he reminded Fallon, who said they were “good songs.”

He was also asked who he would like to collaborate with in the future and two names came to mind, Kendrick Lamar and Travis Scott. “Kendrick is on the top of my list,” he said, adding, “Kendrick, Travis Scott…”

He even offered to put his pal Fallon on a song. “I’ll happily put you on a record if you want to be on a record. You want to sing some backgrounds? OK, done.”

Timberlake recently collaborated with Ant Clemons on “Better Days,” which they performed as part of the Biden-Harris inaugural celebration. Additionally, he has been in the studio with frequent collaborator Timbaland and Ty Dolla $ign.

It’s been three years since Timberlake released his last album, Man of the Woods, which featured contributions from Timbaland, The Neptunes, Alicia Keys, and Chris Stapleton.
