Rising singer Norelle has dropped off her new single titled “Back Into You.”
On the sultry track, produced by Mr. DaMention, the Los Angeles-based singer opens up about being addicted to her toxic lover. “Tease me with your promises / Whispering sweet nothings in my ear / I fall right back into you,” Norelle sings.
Norelle tells Rated R&B that “the song was inspired by real-life situations.” She adds, “That one person who you just can’t let go of. It’s a toxic situation because there is no real intimacy, no honesty, no consistency, but the energy is so intense that it’s hard to shake. And you find yourself in this cycle over and over again.”
“Back Into You” if lifted from Norelle’s forthcoming EP that is slated to arrive later this year.
If Norelle’s name rings a bell it’s because you’ve probably heard her vocals on “Headlow” off Anderson .Paak’s critically-acclaimed album, Oxnard. Aside from being an artist, Norelle has also performed as a background singer for a variety of high-profile artists such as Mariah Carey, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj, to name a few.
