Bobby V is back. The R&B vet has issued a new single titled “Reply.”
On the self-produced tune, Bobby V eagerly awaits a response to a text message that he sent to his love interest. He has a vision for how he would like to spend one-on-one time, he just needs a formal invite.
“Girl, I got some things in mind that I wanna do / And I can’t even relax / Until you hit me back,” he sings in the first verse.
“Reply” is the lead track from Bobby V’s forthcoming project, Appetizer, which will release on his independent imprint Veltree Music Group. Appetizer will follow Bobby V’s 2018 LP, Electrik.
In an interview with Rated R&B, Bobby V also teased another project called Sunday Dinner. “It’s an amazing R&B album,” he said. “Real music and live instrumentation — just continuing the legacy of R&B and giving that real music.”
He also confirmed that Sunday Dinner will not contain any sex songs. “It’s all feel-good songs. It’s all songs we can talk about over Sunday dinner,” he told Rated R&B in a later interview.
At this time, there isn’t a release date set for Sunday Dinner but it is expected to arrive after Appetizer.
