Andra Day Wins Best Actress at Golden Globes 2021 for The United States Vs. Billie Holiday

Tonight at the 78th annual Golden Globes, Andra Day took home the award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for her titular role in The United States Vs. Billie Holiday. Day won over performances by Viola Davis (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom), (Frances McDormand (Nomadland), Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman), and Vanessa Kirby (Pieces of a Woman).

This year, the Golden Globes are being hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. The 78th annual ceremony was initially scheduled for January, the event was postponed due to COVID-19.
