Jacob Latimore keeps an acting gig. The singer/actor will star in the upcoming thriller Panopticon, Deadline reports.
Latimore’s role in the Andres Baiz-directed film has yet to be defined. Still, the film synopsis sheds potential light on what can be expected from him.
In the film, Shailene Woodley will play Chase, a determined Wall Street trader who comes across a surefire investment deal with PCC Correctional, a private prison group generating huge profits.
Realizing the funds have been acquired from corrupt practices like violence and malfeasance, she joins forces with Anthony Mackie, who plays a local correctional officer, to dismantle the false operation that’s made her a go-getter in the financial world.
Panopticon, written by Emily Jerome and produced by Scott Free and AGC Studios, is slated to begin production this summer in New Mexico.
Latimore, a series regular on Showtime’s The Chi, released his last music project in August to celebrate his 24th birthday. Leo Season follows his C3 album, which also was released in 2020.
