Trevor Jackson Shares New Song ‘Get To You’

Trevor Jackson takes part in New Music Friday with a spiteful new song titled “Get To You.”

A well-layered bass guitar amplifies the breakup score that Jackson wants to settle with an ex he wants to trigger in a petty way. While he takes cheap shots on social media with stories of a wild night and other trifling actions, his pleasant voice still gives off hope to mend fences.

“Get To You” is the second offering from Jackson’s debut studio album, The Love Language, which arrives on March 26 via Born Art/ EMPIRE. He dropped the lead offering, “Just Friends,” last fall. He supported the sampled track with a music video before year-end.

Featuring production from Harvey Mason Jr., The Aristocrats, Ayo N Keyz, Gabriel Lambirth, and Breland, The Love Language is expected to inspire listeners to tap inside their inner selves.

“Love is the universal language of all things and I hope this album gives people more confidence to understand their own love languages and how to communicate them. The power of this music will not only bring people together but it’ll also bring people closer to themselves,” shared Jackson.

In 2019, Jackson released the second installment of his 2018 Rough Drafts project.
